MEET OUR STAFF!
I was raised in a Christian home near St. Louis, Missouri. I accepted Jesus as Lord at age 8, and committed myself to vocational ministry at the young age of 15.
I have degrees from Lincoln Christian University and Ashland Theological Seminary.
In twenty years of preaching ministry (1975-1996), I served three churches in Illinois, Massachusetts, and Ohio. My family and I moved to Rochester, Minnesota in 1996, where I served 14 years as a professor and administrator at Minnesota Bible College/Crossroads College.
I began as senior minister at Marion Church in August 2010.
Dorothy, my wife of 45 years, and I have three grown children and six grandchildren.
I was raised on a cattle farm in Iberia, Missouri, and was baptized at the age of nine, and felt the call to go into ministry at the age of sixteen.
I attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri, where I completed a Bachelor of Theology with a major in the New Testament, and a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry with a major in Preaching. During my last two years there, I also served as the Preacher at Eastside Christian Church in Independence, Missouri.
After graduating from OCC, I moved to Denver, Colorado, to attend Denver Seminary, where I graduated with a Master of Arts with a major in the New Testament. During that time, I also served at Green Mountain Christian Church in Lakewood, Colorado, as the Pastoral Ministry Intern.
I love reading, spending time in the outdoors, coffee, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
I was raised in nearby Zumbrota, Minnesota with my two brothers. I grew up in a Christian home, and in my youth attended Concord Church of Christ, Plainview Church of Christ, and Northside Christian Church.
After high school, I planned on attending Minnesota Bible College for two years before planning to move on to another occupation. However, during my time there my desire to serve God's people became persistent.
In the fall of 2003, I began serving Marion Church of Christ as an intern. I was officially hired in February 2005 after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth and Family Studies.
I have been employed at Marion ever since.
I married my high school sweetheart, Terri, in 2003. Together we have five children.
I've been the Office Administrator at Marion since January 2019 and have attended the church since November 2014.
Prior to moving to the Rochester area, I served alongside my husband while he was the minister at churches in Iowa, Maryland, and Kentucky.
My favorite part of my job at Marion is continually finding new ways to allow people to focus on doing ministry while I handle the details and logistics.
In addition to my duties as Office Administrator I help lead worship, organize Vacation Bible School, and volunteer in our Junior/Senior High Youth Group.
My husband Curtis and I have been married since 2001 and we have one son. My family enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and keeping up with our crazy red lab.
