I feel so blessed!!! For the most part I try not to make this blog about me because after all it is a glimpse into student ministries not into the student minister but I feel like I need to say some words and I figured this is a good outlet for it.

I have been asked several times about why we moved? The reasons are many. But first let me say that there is no downside to a parsonage. WE enjoyed the 6 years and 11 months at the parsonage and I would do it again. We started there with no kids and we left there with three. It has always been amazing the Marion church sought out our family to live there and we were truly blessed by the Marion congregation and moving there was an answer to prayer as we were looking for options other than the married apartments at Crossroads College. And now we came to the realization that we were beginning to outgrow the parsonage. If I were not married and had no kids I can honestly tell you that I would probably live there as long as Marion would have me. However if you look at the place as far as raising kids it does have its drawbacks. We began searching for a house in fall of 2007 so it has been a long time coming and it took much prayer and thought to get to where we are here on Deerwood lane.  However this whole time through the entire process it has only been possible through you all as a church being the hands and feet of God that made it happen. So a thanks to the congregation for their support first and foremost in the area of finance – we could not afford to make a move without your support in that way – I hope that as a pastor I continue to preserve your trust and support in this manner. Also thanks for the freedoms you have given me with this job to do what I love to do, reaching out to students. Lastly thanks to the support you have shown to us as a family, you acts of service don’t go unnoticed and are always appreciated and coveted.  With gratitude Terri and I would like to invite the entire congregation over for a bit of an open house here in December. So keep your eyes glued to a bulletin and to the web for updates on times and dates.

So in closing thanks for the blessing you have blessed up on us. – This verse is true for our lives Romans 15:29

Your zinc riced,

ike
